what my friend did to lose 10 pounds

pixiechic said: "she stopped drink soda pop. it seems pretty logical, soda is nothing but water flavored water. just cutting it out was enough to cut 10 pounds of in about 3 weeks! pretty simple stuff."

BigJoey said: "For sure. Alcohol too. You can't sit around drinking calories all day and expect to lose weight. It just won't happen."

sky said: "I would not stop fuit intake, or juices. Thats when you get into those low carb diets. It is not healthy, you will take off some pounds but as soon as you reach your goal weight and start trying to maintain a heathy diet you will put it all back on +10. Your body needs some carbs to stay healthy natural carbs such as juices are the best way to go.Just dont over do it."

pixiechic said: "she still drank pure juices, but limited them. like sky said, it is important to keep fruits in your diet. they have a lot of vitamins that your body needs to keep well."

It also breaks down Vitamin C. * It may cause dizziness, irritability, headaches and heartburn. * It raises your blood pressure and increases your risk for hypertension. * Could cause cysts in women (Fibrocystic Breast Disease) There are even more facts to know about caffeine. Truth is, it isn't that good for you..
the sodium in it makes you retain water, too. makes you feel bloated and fat."

I find a lot of times, I'm not really hungry but actually just thirsty. I used to rely a lot on diet soda but a friend who worked at a fast food restaurant showed me the fountain taps for the soda dispensers. The regular soda dispenser taps are changed about every month. The diet soda taps are changed every week because they corrode due to the drinks. If a tap can't handle it, I don't want it in my body. I also drink vitamin water. No major extra calories and it gives you many of the vitamins and minerals that you might not get in your daily diet."

pixiechic said: "
this would be fabulous if i drank soda or alcohol :)
on the bright side, at least they aren't two bad habits you have to break."

Jade_Michaels said: "The difference between fruit and fruit juice is the fiber. Also remember how much actual juice you get from a piece of fruit compared to the amount of juice you get from a bottle. 8 oz of orange juice would be a lot higher in calaroies then eating an orange plus you'd be missing some of the fiber benefit."

Henrietta said: "Force yourself to drink water for a few weeks. You'll soon learn to love it. I can't go without my water."

Heather said: "Nice tip. It is easy to forget that calories in the stuff we drink help to pile a lot of extra calories. Did she stop drinking fruit juices as well?"

I'm sure that it doesn't do anything great for your stomach and esophogus, either."
