Question: White Foods

LucyBirdd said: "I was told ALL WHITE FOOD is a no no. Someone suggested oatmeal for breakfast, thats white, is it ok? You should probally use low fat milk too right?"

Intrinsic said: "I heard that's how Oprah Winfrey lost weight, by cutting out white foods such as sugar & flour. Oatmeal is OK as long as it's unprocessed."

It will help you keep the hungrys down as well as your cholesterol. It is a good source of carbohydrates for you to use when you do your cardio and strength training. You can eat wheat flour products, but they must be limited. Sugar reduces your metabolism by 60%. Carbohydrates such as breads and pastas will cause your body to dump insulin into the blood stream and break it down into sugars and then stored as fat. That is why it is good to limit the carbs. It is good to eat complex carbs in moderation(fruits and veggies) to aid in diegestion and the body will break those down faster so they do not get stored as fat as fast. If you drink plenty of water after each meal, you will help flush the fat in your food into your waste and it will not get picked up by the blood and stored as fat as much anyway. Need to drink water in between meals as well to help push cellulose out of your tissues. Sorry...I hope that wasn't an overkill."
