Car back from the ShopCar back from the Shop
Heather said: "Hurray!
We got our car back from the shop. It's great to have it back after not having it for 4 days.
Back in the summer someone keyed the crap out of the hood.. doing almost 1000.00 in damage. Last Sunday we ran over something that blew out the rear passenger tire, so we bit the bullet and got the paint job done and new front tires to go along with it.
It will be nice to have new front tires for the upcoming winter, so I guess it isn't such a big deal.."
Heather said: "Where were you born, Firm?"
Heather said: "Cool!
Cincinnatti is a pretty nice city. I've only been there a couple of times, but I like the Riverfront there.
When you drive through (71) it seems like a clean, upbeat city..
I'm from up North.. Close to the lake. Winters up here can be brutal! We get lake effect snow and stuff like that.."
Heather said: "I'm glad to have it back, too. The shop really went the extra mile and detailed the car for us, so it looks really nice. They shined up the tires and cleaned the rims! I guess they want you to feel good about dropping a lot of money to get your car repaired.
You have relatives in Toledo, Spectra?
I haven't been there in a long time, but always liked the zoo there. I think that winter in Cleveland is slightly worse than what Toledo gets..
Notorious.. Sorry to hear that your car got messed with. You wonder what they
stand to benefit by damaging a car? Probably someone that's jealous or is some
other type of malcontent."
Heather said: "They have Christmas lights there every year, which is sort of cool.
(The Cleveland metropark zoo does, too.. Also a very nice display and a bit bigger than Toledo)
If you ever get a chance to visit Toledo, I would recommend the zoo and the Art museum."

We used to live in Milwaukee and since it's right on Lake Michigan, we'd get tons of snow too. I've never been through a winter in Oshkosh, but I hope we get some decent snow....we have some serious snowmobilin' to do.
Glad your car's back, Snap! When my car was in the shop a couple of weeks ago I had to drive the loaner they gave us...it was SO huge compared to my little car. Plus, it was an automatic (which I'm not used to at all). I can't believe someone did that to your car's hood, though. People can be such idiots sometimes."
spectrachic311 said: "Yeah, my aunt and uncle moved out there a couple of years ago. They actually lived in Michigan for a while, but it was a suburb of Toledo. Then they just moved to Toledo itself a year ago or so. I like it out there...never been to the zoo there, but my cousins go there a lot and they LOVE it. (my aunt and uncle have 7 kids under age 13). My aunt doesn't like the fact that the cheese at the grocery stores there isn't the "same" as the fresh Wisconsin cheeses you can get here. We're sort of spoiled that way, I guess. Although, I don't eat a lot of cheese, so it doesn't matter a lot to me. You'd be surprised though...a LOT of people here really do LOVE cheese. Which is probably why Wisconsin is really high on the "fattest state" list."
Notorious said: "speaking of idiots, I had my car parked outside of my buddy's house the other day and when I heard the alarm go off and I went to check it out but there was nobody around. When I got a better look the next day I saw that there were actually footprints all the way up the hood, accross the roof and down over the trunk. They also kicked my roof-mounted antenna and cost me like $400. Yay idiots"
tracy said: "Snap Pea- I am glad to hear you got your car back. It can be such a hassle not having your car.
Notorious- Sorry to hear about your car. Some people can be such jerks. I just do not get it.
Happy Monday."
Firmbeliever said: "I was born in Ohio and lived there til I was 9. I loved the winters there. They were so perfect. Not too cold and just the right amount of snow. I miss those winters. I'd trade them for Chicago winters anyday! :)"
Firmbeliever said: "Cincinnati"
Firmbeliever said: "I understand that. Being in Chicago, that's all we get."
