2. Celery sticks with peanut butter.
3. Fresh fruit salad with and orance squeezed over it and mixed.
4. Open face tomato with drained tuna on a bed of lettuce with a little salt and pepper or plain.
5. Marinated(light marinate) grilled chicken breast strips. You can grill several of them and put the strips in baggies. They are low fat and high in protien.
6. Raisens"

Sounds like dinner to me!"
pixiechic said: "i could eat bananas (as long as they aren't green) all day long.
they are a great source of potassium, which is good for both before and after working out."

Smart dogs, 45cals and 9 grams of protein each.
Soy crips, Roberts American gourmet makes really tasty ones, (good bye potato chips!) 110 cals per serving and 7 grams protein.
And (non soy)
Humus, you can dip carrots, or cucumber, or whole grain pita bread. This is a big fav around our house. The Humus runs about 50 cals per 2 tbs serving. Plus it adds fiber to your diet."

sliced vegetables or baby carrots
dried fruit and nut mix (no more than a small handful)
air-popped popcorn sprinkled with garlic powder or other spices
low-sugar cereal"

Rice or Popcorn cakes are always good.
Lean Cuisines come in handy for a light lunch."

I like cottage cheese with pepper in a pita. You can also put in some leaf lettuce, and chopped tomato or celery. Great as a light lunch."
Elaine said: "Thanks for that veggie dip recipe. I'll have to give it a try!"

cvalh said: "there are lots of popcorn brands out there that have very little or no stuff added, taste great, and are good for you. consider dividing the bags up into little zip-locks, so you have some to last multiple snacking sessions :-D
with pretzels, be careful of salt intake, although they're still a great choice.
another option is lowfat yogurt or frozen yogurt. both are yummy and are a good source of calcium."

haha, me too, but ONLY if they're greenish. I like my bananas WAY far away from ripe."
UniqueMystique said: ".....for those who are low carb eaters....I saw this on tv a few days ago.
Pork Skins with mustard.
I never liked them plain or with salsa or dips.....thinking I'll try the mustard though...it's a different taste anyways. :)"

spectrachic311 said: "one of my favs is baby carrots with salsa. Or if that is too weird for you, baby carrots with some homemade YogurtDip:
Mix a container of plain, nonfat yogurt with a packet of seasoning for a Sour-Cream-type dip. (I like the spicy ranch one from Hidden Valley). Now you have a tasty, tangy dip that is low cal and yummy."

Mmmmmmmmm Humus.
I love green beans and bing cherries. I'm pretty sure I could eat a bag of either and they wouldn't hurt my diet. This time of year, watermelon is an especially good snack. Mmmm. All of this is making me hungry!
One of my favorite snacks is greek salad peppers. You can buy them in a jar. They're also great in salads (hence the name!). I know they don't have that many calories in them... I ate a whole jar once before I went to bed and I felt really sick... Err... Good snack in moderation, as with all things, of course!"
