Ugh!

April said: "Sounds a little like depression? How are you sleeping? Its possible. I go through depression probably once a year. You could just be over welmed with all the pressures and stress in your life but think about it. Depression slaps a huge percent of us everyday in the face. You might want to talk to your doctor for some advice. Hope things get better.....your friend April"

Did you come up with any ideas that would help solve "the problem" (whatever it might be) Maybe having a healthy discussion with your other club members can help clear things up? I hope things get worked out with your friend. Try not to get frustrated and keep in mind that great athletes aren't trained in a week. PhD's work for a long time to get their degree. Work hard and it will pay off for you."

Elaine said: "Hey Cval. *Hugs* Sorry to hear about the loss of your grandfather. That is really difficult, but you have to stay strong. He is still in your heart, and still with you in spirit. Even though it is hard, it is a part of life. Be thankful for the time you had together. I am sure he would want you to be happy. I don't know what you did to get everyone angry with you, but if you are in the wrong, maybe an apology is in order? As for school, there isn't much longer until it breaks for summer. Keep your grades up until then and re-assess during break. Quitting school is never a good answer. But it's up to you. Keep your chin up!"

One of my grandfathers died 2 days before Christmas, one had a stroke 3 days ago. I had a falling out with one of my closest friends here at school, I pissed off a bunch of people in one club and completely quit another club... And if a don't bring my grades up, kiss grad-school goodbye. Needless to say, I'm at a loss as to how to make my life a healthy one when I can't put focus on anything. I just kinda sit at my desk staring at nothing or throwing soda bottles at the wall "

cvalh said: "not in the wrong with the club... more like i pointed out some things they didn't want to hear... in the wrong with the friend - maybe, but the apology has been said. it's up to him now. as for school, i would never drop out, it's just really frustrating. i go to a relatively big deal college and always got excellent grades in HS (no, i'm not a struggling freshman, despite what it might sound), so although my grades aren't horrendous, they don't make me happy. the biggest issue i've been running into is having motivation to do anything, when it takes so long to see results. (i.e. i won't see grades til the end of the semester, the club isn't making any efforts to fix things, who knows when i'll see weightloss). yes, i'm impatient :)"

cvalh said: "April - good thoughts, but I know what depression feels like. This is just frustration :) Some things have gotten better, some haven't. Stuff worked out fine with the friend (I think it's too hard for either of us to imagine not being friends). As for the club, the factions are divided and I'm not sure working things out is possible at this moment. Schoolwork obviously can't get better in a week's time, so with it and weight loss, it's just a wait and see."
