i'm sure that you are never left hungry!"

pwyatt said: "Thanks for the great list of foods. I was wondering, what amount, if any designated number, is the calorie count? I'd like to drop about another 15 lbs. I've lost 10 in the last year. That seems so little, but it's staying off. I'll try to think of that as a positive.
I'd love to hear some ideas.
Pwyatt"

I have to agree with cavlh....I am not so sure about that diet. It mimicks the atkins plan. I need to be able to eat as a lifstyle change for the rest of my life. Some people tend to gain the weight back after they reach their goal. You have to know how to eat for the rest of your life. Stay healthy and good luck."
determinedtolose said: "I do wish you the best of luck. I keep the carbs pretty low myself and I am not a bread eater at all. I don't eat white flour products either. I do need some carbs for working out though. Keep me posted on your progress."

All that alcohol seems a little off. Not many diets recommend drinking alcohol.
Mainly because it gets broken down into sugars when your body metabolises it.
If it isn't burned, it stores as fat and it also destroys your liver, over time.
How much weight have you lost following this?"

No....I do not drink the alcohol. It is permitted but not in the place of water.
The plan is fairly easy for me to follow since I generally only eat veggies and meat anyhow.
At last I checked.....I had lost 15 pounds since January 21st.....and that was Friday.
One must remember...moderation. You can't drop weight eating everything in sight...even if it is healthy."
UniqueMystique said: "pwyatt....my doc claims that I can eat as much as I want of the "no limit" foods. And that's fine and dandy for those who aren't really interested in keeping the weight off later.
I don't eat breakfast....but that's just me, makes me feel famished all day long.
For lunch I eat a small portion of meat (palm sized) and a serving of veggies.
Dinner is the same as lunch.
For a snack later after dinner...I usually have about 1/3 a bag of popcorn....or celery sticks with cream cheese."
UniqueMystique said: "Determined.....it is very much like the Atkins plan (seeing how there's a picture of My doc and Dr. Atkins in her office). I realize that this plan isn't for everyone. It's just easy for me to follow since I'm not a big bread, cereal, or fruit eater. I follow pretty much what is on the list (except the alcohol)...but I do eat other things from time to time. Essentially....I've taken my normal eating habits and cut down on the quantity and upped my exercise. I think that's what most everyone here has done. Denying yourself the foods that you like can only lead to bingeing. Since I'm not denying myself anything....or forcing myself to eat something I hate.....I'm pretty sure that this is the plan for me. :)"
