Carblover said: "Thank you for the welcome. I just wish that I could discipline myself to not depend on any medications. When I was in my 20's I weighed 225 , I got serious about the weight loss, went dancing every night, drank water (while everyone else was boozing it up) and when my friends went to breakfast after the bar closed, I went home. I got down to 127 pounds. So I know that I can loose the weight. My life is much different now. I drive 180 miles round trip to work everyday, I sit at my desk to work (ALL day!), by the time we get home, I just have enough time to get things ready for the next day. Now my daughter will graduating from HS this year (which is why I make that drive) and maybe once that happens I will have more time for me. Do you have any suggestions on what kind of exercise I could do at my desk and and non-fattening snacks."

Thanks bunches~!"

They are full of great advice about diets and exercise. If you had a lengthy enough lunch hour, that my allow you some good walkig time around the block or building. I agree hand weights are a good idea. Mabey you could possibly squeeze some minutes on the weekend to get some cardio exercise in. Good Luck and welcome aboard."

a lot of truth behind that statement. learning how to eat healthy and exercise will help take off extra weight forever. not to mention the fact that you never know what side affects they will have on you later. as for lower calorie options, lean cuisine has a lot of different entrees and most have less than 400 calories and don't take much to prepare in a microwave. healthy snacks like apples, oranges, baby carrots, celery, and air popped popcorn are a few that i can think of. does your daughter travel with you?"

Sorry that I could't be of more help.

That would present some challenges for sure, but with some effort I am sure you can look fabulous for your daughters graduation. Water is always important, drink lots. :) If your workplace has your choice of elavators or stairs, use the stairs instead to burn a calorie or two. Some small handweights might be useful, if you have some storage space."
