FDA Approves Cloned Beef - Will Bear No Special Labeling
January 16, 2008 – 12:26 pmThe Food and Drug Administration has approved the sale of cloned beef and other food products
such as milk.
The FDA has studied this issue for the last seven years.
“The meat and milk from cattle, swine and goat clones are as safe to eat as the food we eat every day,” said FDA Deputy Commissioner Randall Lutter.
When these cloned food sources are put onto the grocer shelves ( which they claim could take a few years ) these products will not be labeled to indicate that the food is derived from a clone.
What are your thoughts on cloned beef and other food products? Would you buy it if was labeled properly?
