Change is in the air- take a deep breath!

1) Seize the moment! Fall is fleeting and you want to take advantage of the perfect outdoor temperatures and kids going back to school.
2) Enjoy the year’s most beautiful season. Enjoy the colors and smells of fall by getting outside and going for a walk, jogging, playing golf, raking leaves… you get the idea.
3) Return to your club or gym. It takes 30 days to make fitness a habit, and a well-rounded fitness plan is important. Remember to start (or get back into) a weight-resistance program to supplement the cardio in tip #2.
4) An apple a day. Think bushels of apples and you think fall harvest. They make a wonderful and healthy snack, before or after your workout, and they’ll never be fresher or sweeter than when they’re in season locally.
5) Make it social. Grab a friend and get moving together- you’ll trade boredom for fun and the time will fly by that much faster.
What’s also working for me this year is thinking about getting a head start on fighting that “winter weight” that always comes with the cooler weather and holidays. If I can get some good habits started now maybe I can do some early damage control!
