3 Out Of 4 Americans Want The Health Care System Overhauled

The US has had a dichotomous health care system for years. It’s generally considered that you can get the best health care in the USA, as long as you have the money. For people with limited or no health insurance coverage, expect the treatment to be worse. A great number of lower and middle income people are struggling to pay their bills
The results show Americans are growing increasingly concerned about the affordability of health care and want better coordination and improved access to information and care.
The study shows a general dissatisfaction with the health care received in a number of circumstances. In fact, most people feel that they have received unnecessary tests of some sort, and feel that the system is inefficient.
The next major concern is affordability. More and more people are having tough times paying for exorbinant health care costs.
Each year medical insurance companies and hospitals routinely raise the cost of premiums, despite the fact that wage levels can’t keep up with the increase. This will cause even more people to receive inadequate care, and the problem promises to get worse in the next few years.
As a small business owner, affordable health care coverage has always been a big deal to me. In fact, it’s a huge expense, despite the fact that I’ve never once used it. I receive a 15% yearly increase, whether the coverage is ever used or not. Quite a deal for the health insurers.
Reform of the health care system is a constant political issue. What will transpire in the next few years, remains to be seen, but I’m not surprised to see perceptions turn so negative.
What are your experiences with health care?
