Losing weight and drinking alcohol just don’t mix

I notice a lot of people when they get ready to lose weight, don’t consider the affect that drinking alcohol has on a diet. And that’s a bit on the ridiculous side, because nothing adds up faster than the empty calories in alcohol. Even a “Bud Light”, which some might consider to be diet food, has 108 calories for every 12 ounces, so a 12 pack is a whopping additional 1,300 calories in a day.
To neglect to count the alcohol calories can’t be done. If you’re drinking the stuff, you have to count those calories as part of your daily intake. If you’re limited to 1,200 to 1,500 calories in a day, there isn’t a whole lot of room for a 12 pack. Plus, consider how many sugars are in alcohol, and you realize that alcohol is tough to burn off.
But there’s even a bigger problem. Being hungover certainly saps your motivation to exercise. If you’re partying too much, you won’t end up feeling like running, or hitting the gym or doing what it takes to win the battle of the bulge. Instead, you’ll be content to sleep in late, nursing your hangover.
So what it’s going to be? Are you ready to get serious about dropping the pounds? If so, you need to look at everything you’re taking into your body, even the things in liquid form, and add them all up. It could be you’re going wrong just on what you’re drinking. And let’s face it: even soda can add up in the same department. If you drink soda, take a careful gander at how many calories you really are consuming in a day.
You won’t have to quit drinking. You just need to limit the times you do it if you’re trying to diet. Having a few less, or just drinking less often would probably be an ample solution for most.
