Burger King Introduces New Stackers. The Selling Point? No Veggies.
July 31, 2006 – 5:05 pmIt seems like the folks at Burger King are following the march of burger rival Hardee’s.
They have added an entire line of Flame Broiled Burgers to their menu offerings so I decided to see what the published nutrition facts on one of these monster burgers were.
I was somewhat shocked (well, not really.. a quad pile of burgers, cheese and bacon is a surefire diet disaster waiting to happen.) at what I found. I did a screen capture of just the “Quad Burger” details to share them with you.

This burger packs an amazing 1,000 calories by itself! Let’s see what happens when we turn it in to a combo meal for a couple of dollars more. Just to be gluttonous, I tossed in a pie for fun. A medium order of salted fries, a medium Coke and a Hershey’s Sunday pie added another 860 calories.

I’m not sure who their target market is for these burgers, but I’ll bet it isn’t healthcare professionals. This one meal packs more calories than what people should be eating for an entire day. With 106 grams of fat, you may as well just inject some life sucking sludge directly into your heart.
One thing is for certain, I’ll be passing on this burger and hopefully, you will too.

I saw the ads for those. I was thinking “Ugh, gross” the entire time. That is just simply way way too much meat and cheese. I like how they DON’T put veggies on it…that pretty much tells you who they’re targeting: people who don’t just not eat healthy, they eat REALLY unhealthy. People who think potatoes are the only veggies they need or something. I don’t get it, but then again, I don’t eat at Burger King.

It sounds like a heart attack in a paper wrapper.
I’d imagine that young males are who they are selling this one to, but I’m sure there are plenty of other people that will try it at least once.
I won’t be eating it either..
