Pilates Diet Plan

Pilates Diet Plan. Review of and information on the Pilates diet program.

Pilates Method AllianceŽ (PMAŽ) is the international, non-profit, professional association dedicated to the teachings of Joseph H. and Clara Pilates. The objective is to give the participants of the program good mental and physical health. While many will vouch that the PMA program has actually helped them lead a healthier life, there are others who say that though Pilates as an exercise is good, but really this type of exercise will not help you solve your obesity problems. Because, it only strengthens muscles and makes them more limber. Pilates is not focused on burning large amounts of real fat tissue. There is a big difference between strengthening your muscles and achieving real fat loss and fat burning. This is an area where many participants have the wrong idea - perhaps due to the frequent commercials on TV.

There is another Pilates program. The Winsor Pilates diet plan. The diet program restricts the participant to 1200 calories a day. In just 2 1/2 weeks, it is possible to lose up to 9lbs. The Winsor Pilates diet plan is somewhat tedious, but then, if you want to lose weight, it is no easy job. You have to put in a lot of commitment. The plan also includes tapes including a Basic video and advanced workouts, to aid the dieter. You have to do the tapes, walk 3-5 miles everyday and follow the strict Pilates diet plan to lose weight.

This is a good program and there is beating around the bush. The brochure that comes video clearly says that you have to do 45 minutes of walking a day along with the Pilates diet plan and the exercises. Yes, there are no short cuts to success.

However the 1200 calories a day in the Pilates diet plan may not be good. This may be under eating and may make you feeling weak. It is always advisable to eat at least 1500 calories every day.
