A healthy diet should be comprised of plenty of fruits and vegetables, lean red meats, chicken, and fish. Foods that are high in fat, sugar and oil should be limited or avoided. This will help to cut back on saturated fats that could have an adverse affect on your arteries or heart.

A dietician or your personal doctor can provide more information on what you should eat and what exercises you can do to reduce your body weight, and your chances for obesity related ailments. Living healthy will help to assure longevity.
