Review of the Arthritis Diet

Background on the Arthritis Diet

There is no such diet, as such, as the Arthritis Diet. However, there have been many traditional studies which have sought to determine the link between diet and arthritis. Many studies have found that certain foods are good for the malady.

Some doctors recommend certain dietary changes for arthritis sufferers. Here's a partial list of foods that should be avoided:

  • Red meats
  • Dairy Products
  • Citrus
  • Salt
  • Flour
  • Eggplants
  • Tomatoes
  • Soft drinks
  • Tobacco

Many arthritis sufferers are allergic to any or all of these foods. For sure, most people will benefit from reducing the consumption of most of these foods. The less sugar you consume, the better. Diets that are particularly high in sugars and fats should be modified towards reduction. An exercise program should be initiated.
