Yea, but don't you need to know how many calories are in these foods? I mean if your counting calories don't you have to add this stuff up? A teaspoon of white sugar only has 15 calories. That's low. I need numbers guys! And I need combinations, like what a 1200 calorie day would consist of. That is about 15 apples right? But who wants to eat 15 apples for the day. What is your average breakfast and how many calories? Henrietta, you've said you eat 4 to 5 times daily what are you eating?
Momma
I know what you are saying about needing numbers I am getting obsessive about the numbers and staying under 1200(1000 most days) there are 2 great ways that I know of to get the numbers go to www.fitday.com and tracking them with the use of a good calories counter book I use "[u:32ca3e7ad2]the complete food counter[/u:32ca3e7ad2] by Natow and Heslin you will probably have to go to a b0okstore or pharmacy for it since the dang atkins junk in in most other stores mine cost me $6.99
one thing I do do I allow myself 2-3 things under 50 calories a day without charting them (makes me feel like I am cheating while still being good) I do things like
a red pepper 1/2 with 1 oz fat free(ff) cream cheese on it for 45 cal
or a 1/2 cup sf ff jello with kool whip for 35calories
even one cookie is usually around 50 calories
the butterless cauliflower is only 27 for a cup and with smart squeeze its only 37 same goes for broccoli etc leave off the butter it cheaper in calories that way
another good treat that is filling yet tastes terrific is
all of these on one plate:
pepper slices(1/2 pepper---10
mini carrots cut in half-or quarters lenght wise1 oz-12
cuckumber slices----1/2 cup slices 7 calories
and 1 T of fat free ranch dressing --
and 1T of ff sour cream mixed--for 27 clories
all together(seperate bowl)--- 56 calories and I have eaten this for a lunch and a tv snack
try a 1/2can of green beans and a 1T fat free italian dressing---45 calories
or 1/2 can of whole greenbeans dipped in FF ranch dressing 1 T--55
I am a firm believer of fat free cholesterol free AND sugar free foods
they are great
for example
my youngest this morning had(all full calorie)
2 eggs--154cal
1oz cheese 110
2T marg spread---160
1 T marg stick--100(cooking)
2 slices bread white 130
3 slices of turkey bacon 120
total----774 for just an cheese omlet and toast
I and my other daughter had--
egg subistitute = to 3 lg eggs--90
1/2 cup chopped veggies(red pepper onion and mushrooms) 30
[in stead of marg for frying I used butter spray]
and 3 slices of turkey bacon 90
and 1 slice of toast with smart spread 70
total-----370 and believe me it was a LOT of food
we saved 404 calories and ate more than her!!!
and I can have a slice of pizza tonight for dinner :)
well I have bent your ear enough
blessings

Thanks Ladydraggin, That was really helpful. Lists of low calorie foods don't help me much because I don't seem to have the imagination to put them together to make a decent meal.Your breakfast compairison was an eye opener. Thanks again.
