I thought I was doing great until I had to get rid of most of my clothes after I quit smoking. I have gone from a size 6 to a size 10 and I would like to get back down to where I'm more comfortable. The hardest part is portion control and exercise. I also come from an obese family on both sides and have to be very careful. Does anyone have any pointers or feel like being my buddy. I've never been on a diet in my life and need some help.

I quit at the end of April and haven't really wanted any since.

are you active at all? maybe start increasing your exercise a bit. its very common to gain weight when you quit smoking.
Thats terrific that you don't want cigarettes anymore! I think there might be a thread under the "did you know" about weight gain after you've quit.
What do you eat (typically) during the course of a day? Are you really "hungry" when you eat? Just a few questions to try and help :D
